Where is our data stored?
School data is stored securely in the UK or EEA using IS27001 and IS9001 certified data centres. Our cloud infrastructure is designed to meet modern security and compliance standards. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest where applicable.
Who owns the data?
Your school remains the data controller and retains ownership of its data at all times. Edvolve acts as a data processor on behalf of the school.
Is Edvolve GDPR compliant?
Yes. Edvolve is designed with UK and EU GDPR principles in mind and supports schools in meeting their data protection obligations. We only process data necessary to provide the service and never sell school or user data.
How is user access controlled?
Access is managed through role-based permissions, ensuring that staff, parents and students only see the information relevant to them.
Is payment information stored by Edvolve?
No. Payment information is processed securely through PCI DSS-compliant(v.4.1) payment services. Sensitive payment card information is not stored within the Edvolve platform ecosystem.
What happens to our data if we leave Edvolve?
Your data remains your school's property. We will work with you to provide an agreed data export and support a smooth offboarding process in line with our contractual terms.
